Three Pledges for Sydenham

I have contributed to the Manifesto for Lewisham Labour Party. Here we set out our four key principles and our Statement of Intent.

My top three pledges for Sydenham are:

  1. Listening to residents' views through the Sydenham Assembly and ensuring we make more decisions locally
  2. Securing a vibrant high street through £3.6 million improvement to Sydenham Road and Station Approach
  3. Providing opportunities for our young people including the £3.5 million new youth centre at Wells Park Road

In Sydenham I have been working for a stronger and safer community and I am keen to develop community timebanking as well as community gardening. I took some seed potatoes to the community garden in Mayow Park and would urge everyone to take a look at the transformation. This is an excellent example of social enterprise undertaken by Envirowork supported by Lewisham Council.

We have been putting out quarterly Newsletters to highlight our work and there are the Sydenham election special leaflets highlighting why we are proud of Sydenham and our plans for the future.
